Angela Chou started her culinary entrepreneurship in 2012 with a gluten-free cupcake business, followed by a private dining pop-up. In 2015, she advertised on social media as a personal chef who specializes in vegan, gluten-free and paleo cuisines. The response was tremendous, with over 100 neighbors who wanted her services. In order to meet the demand, she founded Green Chow Down, as a local meal delivery service within her neighborhood. Several months later, a regular client asked her to cater a private party. This was the largest event she had ever served, and she was hooked. Green Chow Down quickly established itself as a Bay Area and Silicon Valley full service catering agency. Green Chow Down is woman of colored owned, and to date, has fed and nourished literally thousands of diners with delectable foods and beverages.
