Angela Chou began her culinary entrepreneurship journey in 2012 with a gluten-free cupcake business, followed by a private-dining pop-up. In 2015, she advertised on social media as a personal chef specializing in vegan, gluten-free, and paleo cuisines. The response was tremendous, with more than 100 neighbors interested in her services. To meet the demand, she founded Green Chow Down as a local meal-delivery service. Several months later, a regular client asked her to cater a private party. It was the largest event she had ever catered, and she was hooked. Green Chow Down quickly established itself as a full-service catering and events company serving the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. A woman-of-color-owned business, Green Chow Down has since fed and nourished thousands of guests with delectable food and beverages.
